Community Allotment

Ongoing all year round

Our Community Allotment Project has been put on hold. Contact us if you would like to get involved as soon as we are back up and running again.

Get involved in growing fresh food while connecting with your community.

Gardening can bring communities together, spread the importance of local conservation and be incredibly rewarding. So, we are very pleased that Leigh Parish Council has kindly provided the society with an allotment plot where we hope to involve the whole community in growing fresh fruit and vegetables - and even herbs and flowers! We have already started clearing the plot in preparation for the Spring.

South & South East in Bloom

Ongoing all Year

In 2018 Leigh achieved Silver and in 2019, Leigh Village were awarded Silver Gilt. We continue to collaborate with Leigh Parish Council and other clubs and societies, such as Leigh Heritage, Apple Press, Charity Plant Sale and many, many more in Leigh and the surrounding district to make our community an attractive and welcoming place to live. We have submitted an application for the S&SEIB for 2020. If you would like to find out more you can always contact the Committee at: info@ldcgs.co.uk
