A detailed talk focusing on the subject of time in the garden. Split into two sections the talk begins by looking at what gives a garden a sense of time and place, whilst discussing the importance of having this within a garden and how to achieve it. About the Pashley Manor and the festival:-

The Tulip Festival at Pashley Manor is one of the highlights of the early season and is renowned for featuring more than 48,000 blooms. One hundred and five varieties of tulip are planted in colour themed garden ‘rooms’ in addition to more varieties in pots. For the duration of the festival Bloms, winners of 68 Chelsea Gold Medals are on hand to share their knowledge and take orders for those inspired by the impressive displays We’ve been fortunate to secure a booking during thefestival for a small number of Garden Shed members, with a guided tour provided by a senior gardener, after which the gardens are available for us to enjoy at our own pace. The meeting point for the start of the tour is in front of the Manor House at 10.00hrs There is a small café on site serving locally sourced homemade cakes, scones and light lunches although during the festival table reservations are not available. Picnics points are located in the car park for those who prefer to bring their own lunch. To keep the cost of our visit to a minimum, we rely on members making their own way to events, and some may be able to car share. See their website for more details and information on these and future events. http://www.gardenshed.club/.../the.../upcoming-events/
